It was October 2007 when Leslie moved 

to the Mid-Ohio Valley. One of the first 

people she met was a friend of Eric's. Leslie asked

what there was to do in the area. The friend 

told Leslie that she should visit Sweetapple

Farm. Leslie did not - because she thought

it was for families. The friend told 

Eric about this 'new girl' in town that was 

perfect for him. Eric was tired of getting

set up - so forgot about it.

Then, December 10th came and Leslie was

assigned a story about the rains coming

after the long summer drought.  Who to call?

Eric, of course, to give his expertise on the

issue in regards to farms and gardens. After

a few more stories and questions, they finally

connected for a first date!
