Harra Covered Bridge Maple Syrup

We offer many locally made products at Sweetapple Farm Market.  We are proud to offer local maple syrup made by Bill Harra of Waterford.  Their family has been collecting syrup and boiling it for generations.  Their farm is just six miles north of our farm and Bill helps with hayrides at our farm!

Grade B syrup is darker.

The original covered bridge still stands near the farm in Waterford, Ohio.

Horses were used to collect syrup in the old days.

Collection tubes are used to make the work a little easier.

Each tree is tapped with a metal tap to get the sap out of the tree.
